Chrome Plating Technician
Chrome Plating Technicians are the foundation of who we are. Position Requirements
*****ALL candidates for our Chrome Department must be able to work BOTH 1st and 3rd Shifts to be considered for hire. ***We are growing and 3rd shift premiums of 8% are applied to your base pay ******
at least 18 years of age
Self-Motivated and highly results-oriented
Ability to read shop orders, sketches
Basic math, reading, writing and communication skills
Must be able to stand, walk on uneven surfaces, bend, twist, reach overhead
Must have the ability to lift 10-40 pounds occasionaly during shift
Must possess visual acuity to read documentation, computer screens and parts
Must have hearing capacity to monitor sounds for changes in environment and/or equipment, announcements over the paging system or safety warnings/alerts.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Rack/Unpack parts
Packaging parts to prevent damage or as described in documentation and routing.
Read and follow part processing router for requirements.
Monitor equipment & record information, data, and counts to maintain accurate processing
Be aware of surrounding area to maintain safe & organized environment
Work in team setting to complete multiple tasks and goals as assigned.
Work to achieve productivity, quality, and schedule goals.
Visual and other on-line inspection as required by job router or specification.
Participate in and provide input on how to improve task being performed.
Each area or department may require additional tasks as appropriate.
Preferred Education, Skills, Experience
High School diploma/GED or equivalent
Factory or warehouse experience
Some experience in metal finishing company or manufacturing industries

The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-40 pounds.
Work Environment
Production and shop floor areas can be very humid during certain times of the year. Employees are provided training and personal protective equipment when working around chemicals, dust, and fumes. Safety and Environmental systems are in place to meet or exceed requirements from EPA and OSHA. We have active cross functional safety and continuous improvement teams. All team members will be exposed to the shop floor environment on occasion. Normal shop environment may require the use of hearing protection, safety glasses, safety-toe footwear as well as other personal protective gear as required when working with chemicals.
